Easter activity tip sheet

Stuck for things to do over the Easter holidays? Our Easter Activity Tip Sheet is full of good ideas for parents.

How can parents and caregivers make the most of this time?

Healthy growth and learning for a child starts with healthy parents and caregivers. These are the people who have the biggest effect on a child’s learning – what they see, hear and experience – long before school starts.

Raising children can be rewarding and challenging for parents and caregivers. During the early years children depend on the people who look after them to meet all of their needs, and this can feel a bit overwhelming at times. But there is support available for parents and caregivers.

The main thing to remember is that you are not alone, and that regular contact with friends and family is good for you, and the child.

What kind of support is there if I need it?

When it comes to your child, the idea of asking for help can seem a little scary if you haven’t done it before. But Tasmania’s Biggest Job is a communal effort, and support services have been set-up with parents and children in mind.

From sound parenting advice and tips for a healthy childhood to bigger issues such as child protection, the organisations listed below can offer you a range of expert support.
